Notably, the Xbox video marking the launch says, “Play 1000xResist Day One on Game Pass November 4th,” and does not specify whether the release is limited to certain Game Pass tiers. About the game
1000xResist follows Iris, a teenager whose society collapses after an alien disease. Iris is cloned multiple times, and players take the role of one of her clones, called Watchers. The narrative is delivered out of order, and the gameplay involves time travel and exploring Iris’s fragmented memories to piece together what happened.
Reception and awards
The game received critical recognition and community praise. It won the 2025 Peabody Award for Interactive & Immersive Work. On Steam, the user review score currently sits at “overwhelmingly positive.”
