120 Rosaries in Minutes — Farm 12 Pilgrim Shawls for Hollow Knight: Silksong’s Garb of the Pilgrims Quest

If you want a quick stack of rosaries in Hollow Knight: Silksong, the “Garb of the Pilgrims” quest is the best early option — and it only asks for 12 Pilgrim Shawls. Below you’ll find where to pick up the quest, the easiest farming route, and what you get in return.
Garb of the Pilgrims — quest location
The quest appears on the Bone Bottom quest board after the builder NPC known as Flick the Fixer finishes it. In most runs, players unlock the board after defeating the Bell Beast in The Marrow. However, some reports show the board can appear earlier if you rest on a specific bench just southwest of the Bell Beast area.
To reach that bench, head west from the Bell Beast, drop down after the Pilgrims, then go right in the room below. Either way, beating the Bell Beast first is handy because it unlocks fast travel, which makes back-and-forth trips between Bone Bottom and farming areas much faster.
Garb of the Pilgrims — walkthrough and farming spots
After you pick up the quest, you need to collect 12 Pilgrim Shawls. Any Pilgrim enemy in Pharloom can drop a shawl once the quest is active. Pilgrims are the slightly larger, more sentient enemies that normally drop rosaries — for example, the poison-snail, the hugging jumper, and the jumping-and-rolling bug.
The fastest route is to farm in The Marrow, near the Bell Beast lair. Specifically, go to the area west of that boss room where several Pilgrims spawn. Then rest at the nearby bench to respawn them and repeat until you have 12 shawls. You can either walk there from Bone Bottom or use fast travel once it’s unlocked.
Garb of the Pilgrims — reward details
Turning in the quest nets you a Rosary Necklace that contains 120 rosary beads. You can open the item in your inventory and “break” it to receive the loose rosaries, but beware: loose beads are lost on death. Therefore, it’s generally smarter to keep the Rosary Necklace until you’re ready to spend the rosaries.
