All 9 White Nevron Locations in Clair Obscur — Find Them Fast and Secure 100 Colours of Lumina

White Nevrons in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 aren’t all hostile — some are friendly, offer quests, and give unique rewards. Below, you’ll find every White Nevron location, what they ask you to do, and whether you should spare or slay them.
All White Nevron locations in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Jar
Location: Spring Meadows, next to the Abandoned Expeditioner Camp rest point. Jar asks you to “find light” for their Mistress by recovering Resin hidden among crates and then using Free Aim to shoot their lantern polearm. Complete the quest to receive one healing tint.
Démineur
Location: Forward from Noco’s Hut in Flying Waters, near an open area and a cave. Démineur’s task is to bring back an Intact Mine found in the nearby area (requires some platforming). The reward for returning the mine is the Deminerim weapon for Lune.
Grown Bourgeon
Location: The Small Bourgeon area by Flying Waters. The small Bourgeon wants Bourgeon Skin so it can grow. You get skin by defeating any Bourgeon (there’s a nearby one in Flying Waters). After you give the skin and re-enter the area, the Bourgeon will have grown and will reward you with a Colour of Lumina.
Hexga
Location: Next to the Tide Caverns rest point in Stone Wave Cliffs. Hexga asks you to find three glowing rock crystals inside the adjacent, very dark cave. Look for bright blue crystals, break them, then return to Hexga to receive the Auto Shell Pictos.
Portier
Location: Esoteric Ruins, beside Old Lumiere. Portier sends you through the maze behind it to find Wood Boards. Bring those back and you’ll get the Protecting Heal Pictos.
Chalier
Location: Floating Cemetery, near a pile of bodies. Chalier prompts you to choose a weapon and then fight it inside a nearby building. Afterwards you can choose to spare or kill it. If spared you get the Longer Shell Pictos; if killed you get the Auto Powerful Pictos. Note: consider waiting to finish this until after you check Blanche’s reward (see below).
Troubadour
Location: Stone Quarry. The Troubadour sets up a rhythm/dodging trial — dodge all the red notes to pass. Successfully completing the trials grants the Healing Parry Pictos.
Benisseur
Location: Red Woods, at a mysterious fountain. Instead of a normal fetch quest, you must pour 90,000 chroma into the fountain. After that, Benisseur reveals themself and gives you the Recovery Pictos.
Danseuse Teacher
Location: Frozen Hearts, near the Glacial Falls expedition flag. Climb the stairs and follow the tracks to find Danseuse Teacher and three minor Nevrons below. They ask you to “dance,” which is a parry trial; parry all attacks to earn the Danseuse Outfit for Lune.
Tisseur (note)
Location: Sirene. Tisseur is a giant construct you can optionally fight. However, it does not count as one of the White Nevrons in the usual list. Defeating Tisseur makes the Sirene boss encounter easier, but it’s separate from the friendly Nevron quests described above.
Should you attack the White Nevrons in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33?
In short: you can attack White Nevrons after completing their quests, but it’s usually better to wait.
Specifically, killing a White Nevron drops resources like Colours of Lumina and various Chroma Catalysts, which do help power you up for late-game content. However, if you want a special reward from Blanche at The Fountain, do not kill multiple White Nevrons first.
According to a reddit post by user AirCautious2239, you need to help five White Nevrons to earn Blanche’s special reward of 100 Colours of Lumina. If you kill more than one White Nevron before collecting that reward, you will be locked out of the 100 Colours of Lumina bonus.
Therefore, the practical approach is: complete the friendly quests for at least five White Nevrons, claim Blanche’s reward at The Fountain, and only then attack any White Nevrons you want to farm for materials. This preserves both the unique quest rewards and the late-game resources.
For reference, here are the battle rewards you get if you choose to kill the White Nevrons after finishing their quests:
- Jar — 3 Colours of Lumina + Chroma Catalyst
- Démineur — 3 Colours of Lumina + Chroma Catalyst
- Grown Bourgeon — 5 Colours of Lumina + Polished Chroma Catalyst
- Hexga — 3 Colours of Lumina + Polished Chroma Catalyst
- Portier — 3 Colours of Lumina + Polished Chroma Catalyst
- Chalier — Auto Powerful Pictos
- Troubadour — Resplendent Chroma Catalyst
- Benisseur — 3 Colours of Lumina + Grandiose Chroma Catalyst
- Danseuse Teacher — Augmented Counter III Pictos + Grandiose Chroma Catalyst
In other words, help first for the best long-term gain, then decide if you want the immediate materials. Either way, you now know where to find each White Nevron and what they offer.
