Release date

Soft Rains announced that Act One of Ambrosia Sky will arrive on Nov. 10. The studio framed this as a near-term release for the first chapter only. For now, the exact platforms for the full release beyond the demo were not detailed in the announcement.

Episodic format and schedule

Rather than a single full release, Ambrosia Sky will come out in three separate “acts.” Act One launches on Nov. 10, and Acts Two and Three are planned for sometime next year. In a statement, Soft Rains said:

“The Soft Rains team is thrilled to be nearing the release of Ambrosia Sky. We felt this best fits the game’s unique narrative structure, the needs of our small production team, and our self-publishing goals. With Act One, players can experience a fully-realized first chapter that is feature complete and uncompromised in both story and gameplay. It’s our way of offering a meaningful slice of what’s ahead, and we’re eager to share a roadmap soon to outline what’s planned for 2026.”

Consequently, the developer plans to publish a roadmap for 2026 at a later date.

Gameplay and tone

In Ambrosia Sky you play as Dalia, a Scarab field scientist working in deep space. Your official task is to pursue the key to human immortality. Instead, much of the gameplay centers on cleaning up alien fungi that has overrun the region and laying the dead to rest. The game blends quiet, methodical cleaning with a narrative about memory and loss.

Overall, the project is described as a sci‑fi FPS with a focus on atmosphere and character, not just combat.

Demo and trailer

Meanwhile, if you want a taste before Nov. 10, a demo is available for Windows PC on Steam. Additionally, the episodic format and the Act One release date were revealed in a new trailer.
