Apex Legends TV Show Still in the Works, EA Hints at Expanding the Titanfall Universe

EA hasn’t forgotten about the potential for an Apex Legends TV show or movie—despite years of fan requests, the project might still happen. According to EA Entertainment president Laura Miele, the game’s deep lore and beloved characters make it a strong candidate for adaptation.
- What’s happening? EA is still considering an Apex Legends film or TV show.
- Why? The game’s rich backstory and characters could translate well to linear media.
- What’s next? No official announcements yet, but EA’s focus on adaptations (like The Sims movie) could pave the way.
Why an Apex Legends adaptation makes sense
In a recent interview with Variety, Miele explained that the game’s universe—shared with Titanfall—has “rich worlds and rich history” that could expand beyond gaming. “Players don’t have all the backstory, the history,” she said, hinting that a show or movie could fill those gaps.
Respawn has already experimented with animated storytelling through Stories from the Outlands and the Kill Code miniseries. Fans loved these, but with no new episodes since late 2023, hopes for a bigger project remain high.
Will it actually happen?
EA hasn’t greenlit anything yet, but the success of other game adaptations (like The Last of Us) keeps the idea alive. The studio’s upcoming The Sims movie—a collaboration with Amazon MGM and Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap—could set the tone for future projects.
For now, Apex Legends fans will have to keep waiting. But with EA openly “motivated” to explore linear media, the dream isn’t dead yet.
