Attack on Titan Studio Wit Joins Star Wars: Visions — New Trailer Reveals Star-Studded Anime Lineup

Disney and Lucasfilm have released a new trailer for Star Wars: Visions volume 3, and the short answer is: some of the best Japanese anime studios are on board. The collection of nine shorts will be made entirely by Japanese studios and lands exclusively on Disney+ on October 29.
Studios involved
Volume 3 brings together nine different Japanese anime studios, each producing and directing one short. Among them are returning names from earlier Visions seasons such as Kamikaze Douga, Production I.G., Studio Trigger, Project Studio Q, and Kinema Citrus. In addition, several studios are joining Visions for the first time: Wit Studio, Project No.9, Polygon Pictures, and David Production.
Episode details and directors
So far, specific episode assignments and directors have been revealed for some entries. For example:
The Bounty Hunters — Episode 6
Wit Studio will handle episode six, titled The Bounty Hunters, directed by Ken Yamamoto. Episode details remain scarce, but the studio’s involvement is notable because Wit is known for titles like Attack on Titan, Spy x Family, and the first season of Vinland Saga. Consequently, many viewers are curious how Wit will approach a Star Wars short that may be less focused on the Force.
BLACK — Episode 9
David Production is credited with the ninth episode, titled BLACK. David Production’s resume includes JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Fire Force, and Cells at Work!. Meanwhile, Polygon had the chance to watch the episode during AnimeNYC and described it as “a highly experimental short” that blends “psychedelic visuals with minimal dialogue, and set to a jazzy Fujiwara Sakura score that evokes the vibe of Mos Eisley.”
Voice cast
The third volume also features a notable ensemble of actors. Confirmed names include George Takei, Simu Liu, Stephanie Hsu, Steve Buscemi, Anna Sawai, Freddie Highmore, Harvey Guillen, Judith Light, and Jodie Turner-Smith, who returns after appearing in The Acolyte.
What to expect
Each short will reflect the creative style of its producing studio, and because the lineup is exclusively Japanese studios this time, expect a range of anime aesthetics and storytelling approaches. In addition, Visions typically explores different corners of the Star Wars universe — including, but not limited to, stories about the Force, Jedi, and Sith — so variety is likely.
