Release date and main creative team
Batman/Deadpool #1 will be released on Nov. 19. It is written by Grant Morrison with art by Dan Mora. DC says the one-shot will have the two characters team up and will “confront a threat that doesn’t just endanger their worlds—it questions their very existence as fictional constructs,” and that the story “weaponizes its comic bookiness.”
Backup stories and creative teams
Both publishers confirmed multiple backup stories handled by prominent creators. The confirmed teams and pairings are:
- Scott Snyder</b, James Tynion IV, and Joshua Williamson with Hayden Sherman — a Constantine and Doctor Strange occult story.
- Mariko Tamaki</b and Amanda Conner — a story that pairs the Hulk with Harley Quinn.
- G. Willow Wilson</b — a story pairing Ms. Marvel with Static. Additionally, Static will cross over with Batman Beyond in November, with involvement from Milestone Media co-founder Denys Cowan.
- Tom Taylor</b and Bruno Redondo — an “emotionally-charged” story pairing Nightwing with Laura Kinney/Wolverine.
