Batman, Green Arrow, and the Question Team Up for a Gritty New Black Label Series Set in a Futuristic Ocean City

DC Comics fans, get ready for something a little different this fall. Batman, Green Arrow, and the Question are teaming up in a brand new Black Label miniseries called Batman/Green Arrow/The Question: Arcadia. The first issue lands on November 26, 2025, and promises a fresh spin on these classic vigilantes. This time, they’re not just fighting crime in dark alleys—they’re tackling big problems like class warfare and climate change in a city that’s unlike anything we’ve seen before.

  • New Black Label series features Batman, Green Arrow, and the Question
  • Story set in the ocean-based, climate-hardened city of Arcadia
  • Four-issue miniseries begins November 26, 2025
  • Written and illustrated by Gabriel Hardman
  • Includes variant covers and preview art

What’s the Story?

In this four-issue miniseries, Batman joins forces with Green Arrow and the Question for a noir detective thriller set in the city of Arcadia. This isn’t your typical Gotham adventure. Instead, Bruce Wayne is investigating a “climate-hardened” ocean city while his allies dig into the secrets lurking below the surface. The story is described as being updated “for a new era of open class warfare and ecological collapse.”

The Creative Team

Batman/Green Arrow/The Question: Arcadia is written and drawn by Gabriel Hardman. Fans might recognize Hardman from his work on Green Lantern: Earth One and the Hugo-nominated Invisible Republic. Hardman says, “While I’m taking inspiration from the great work of Denny O’Neil, Denys Cowan, and Mike Grell, this series isn’t an exercise in nostalgia. I’m taking the grounded approach they spearheaded in the late 80s and moving forward, having these three difficult, opinionated personalities confront a contemporary brand of criminality on a global scale.”

Release Dates and Collectibles

The series will be released monthly, starting November 26, 2025. For those who like to wait for collected editions, a hardcover is planned for June 2026. That means trade waiters will need a little patience.

Each issue features some eye-catching covers. There’s a main cover by Gabriel Hardman and a variant by Denys Cowan and Bill Sienkiewicz. Fun fact: the variant cover is based on a poster that originally promoted a crossover between these three heroes back in the 1980s.
