Battlefield 6 Roadmap Revealed: Rogue Ops Drops Oct 28 with New Maps, Modes and Weapons — Battle Royale Still MIA

The official Battlefield 6 season 1 roadmap is out, and it lists the content that arrives after launch — with specific dates and features for each mid-season update. Below you’ll find the road map for the three named updates, what they add, and the current status of the promised battle royale mode.
Battlefield 6 season 1 roadmap
The first post-launch season, labelled **Season 1**, begins on Oct. 28. The developers named the opening update **”Rogue Ops”**, and it includes new maps, modes, vehicles, weapons, and attachments that are listed below.
Rogue Ops — Oct. 28
On Oct. 28 the game will add the following confirmed items:
- Blackwell Fields — a new map set at a recently recommissioned American air base in the California badlands. It supports both land and air vehicles and is available for all combat sizes.
- Strikepoint — a small-scale mode for two teams of four where each player has only one life per round; the objective is to capture a point each round.
- APC Traverser Mark 2 — a new four-seat land vehicle that includes a roof gunner position.
- SOR-300C — a carbine chambered for .300 Blackout, with a slower rate of fire than the 5.56 counterpart.
- Mini Fix — a lighter, more mobile sniper option for Recon players who push in rather than sit back.
- GGH-22 — a sidearm with a high rate of fire and comparatively low per-shot damage.
- Rail Cover and Low Powered Variable Optic (LPVO) — two new attachments that will be available for multiple weapons.
California Resistance — Nov. 18
The second planned update arrives on Nov. 18 and adds more maps, modes, and weapons.
Confirmed content for this mid-season drop includes:
- Eastwood — a new map set in a Southern California suburb with a golf course and tennis courts. It supports land vehicles and is suitable for all combat sizes; helicopters will be the only aerial option.
- Sabotage — an 8v8 two-round mode where teams alternate offense and defense to destroy or protect sites within a time limit.
- Battle Pickups — a returning Battlefield feature that spawns powerful map-based weapons which cannot be equipped in loadouts.
- DB-12 — a pump-action shotgun with two barrels that can fire twice before pumping.
- M327 Trait — a high-damage, low-fire-rate revolver-style sidearm with strong close-range performance and noticeable damage drop-off at distance.
- Slim Handstop — a new underbarrel grip attachment affecting handling and ergonomics.
Winter Offensive — Dec. 9
The third named update is scheduled for Dec. 9. It focuses on a seasonal change to an existing map plus event content and a new melee weapon.
- Ice Lock Empire State — the Empire State map receives a winter makeover with snow and ice applied across the environment.
- Ice Lock — a limited-time event that introduces a new gameplay modifier called Freeze, which will be active in specific experiences.
- Ice Climbing Axe — a new melee weapon that can be used against players and to interact with more delicate environmental objects.
There is no official end date for Season 1 announced alongside this roadmap.
When does the Battlefield 6 battle royale mode release?
