Battlefield 6 Season 1 Roadmap Revealed — New Maps, One-Life Strikepoint Mode, APCs and a Snow-Covered Empire State

EA and Battlefield Studios have laid out the Season 1 roadmap for Battlefield 6 ahead of launch, showing what will arrive after the game’s Oct. 10 release. Season 1 begins on Oct. 28 and will roll out three timed updates with new maps, modes, weapons, vehicles, and attachments.
Battlefield 6 season 1 roadmap
Season 1 for Battlefield 6 is scheduled to start on Oct. 28. The roadmap shows three main updates during that season: Rogue Ops on Oct. 28, California Resistance on Nov. 18, and Winter Offensive on Dec. 9. The roadmap lists maps, modes, weapons, vehicles and attachments for each update.
Rogue Ops — Oct. 28
The first post-launch update is called Rogue Ops and arrives with a mix of new maps, a tactical mode, a multi-seat vehicle, weapons and attachments.
Key additions in Rogue Ops include:
- Blackwell Fields — a new map set at a recently recommissioned American air base in the California badlands. It supports both land and air vehicles and is suitable for all combat sizes.
- Strikepoint — a small-scale mode where two teams of four compete to capture an objective each round with a single-life rule, encouraging tactical play.
- APC Traverser Mark 2 — a new land vehicle that seats four, including a roof gunner.
- SOR-300C — a carbine rifle chambered in .300 Blackout; it has a slower rate of fire compared to 5.56 options.
- Mini Fix — a lightweight sniper option aimed at Recon players who prefer mobility over long-range rifles.
- GGH-22 — a new sidearm with a high rate of fire and lower per-shot damage.
- Rail Cover and Low Powered Variable Optic (LPVO) — two new attachments that apply to multiple weapons.
California Resistance — Nov. 18
Three weeks after Rogue Ops, California Resistance adds another map, a new objective mode, and several weapons and attachments.
Contents listed for this update are:
- Eastwood — a new map set in an affluent southern California suburb, featuring a golf course and tennis courts. It supports land vehicles and is suitable for all combat sizes; helicopters are the only aerial vehicles listed for this map.
- Sabotage — an 8v8 mode played over two rounds (offense and defense) where teams destroy or defend multiple sites within a time limit.
- Battle Pickups — a returning feature that places powerful weapons on the map as pickups rather than in loadouts.
- DB-12 — a pump-action shotgun with two barrels that can fire twice before pumping.
- M327 Trait — a high-damage, low fire-rate sidearm designed for close encounters.
- Slim Handstop — a new underbarrel grip attachment that changes ergonomics and handling.
Winter Offensive — Dec. 9
The December update is called Winter Offensive. It brings a seasonal change to an existing map, a limited-time event, and a new melee weapon.
What the roadmap lists for this update:
- Ice Lock Empire State — the existing Empire State map receives a snow-and-ice makeover for the winter update.
- Ice Lock — a limited-time event that introduces a Freeze gameplay modifier. The roadmap describes Freeze as a “gameplay modifier only active in specific experiences.”
- Ice Climbing Axe — a new melee weapon that can be used against enemies and to interact with delicate environmental pieces.
Season 1 length and follow-up
EA has not announced a specific end date for Season 1. The roadmap shows the three updates spaced about three weeks apart: Oct. 28, Nov. 18, and Dec. 9. Beyond those listed updates, no further dates or Season 2 timing have been confirmed in the roadmap preview.
