Faithful Leap shrine location in Ghost of Yōtei

The shrine sits in the northeast section of Yōtei Grassland, on a field you can reach only by platforming across trees, ropes, and bamboo bridges. For a nearby starting point, use Yōtei’s Shadow Inn and head north until you meet the Nupur River. Then follow that river toward the northeast; the entrance to the path appears in the Twin Ponds of Hidaka area, which lies between the Nikappu River and the Tomamu Marshlands. Finally, a long trail of white flowers marks the route to the first gate that starts the climb.

How to complete the Faithful Leap shrine

The climb is split into two distinct platforming sections. First, you learn and use basic moves to traverse broken branches, ropes, and bamboo bridges. Then, after a short transition, you apply those moves on a longer route that leads directly to the shrine field. Below, each section is described in order with the concrete actions needed.

Faithful Leap shrine — Part one

Proceed upward until you reach a gate and a blocked stairwell. To open the route, press and hold R2 and L2 while moving the left stick to pull and break the branch to the left of the blocked path. Leap onto the broken branch, then jump to the next branch and use the hook to swing across. Climb the wall ahead to reach the next gate.

In front of the gate is a tightrope. Jump, then use the hook to get on top of it. To the left of that rope you’ll find two sequential branches that provide the next route; break another branch there when needed, then jump onto a nearby rock and climb up. That leads to the first bamboo bridges you must cross. Continue upward and squeeze through a narrow opening between rocks to exit this section.

Faithful Leap shrine — Part two

After the brief transition, the route resumes at a new gate. Turn right and climb the large steps beside a frog statue, then use an improvised bridge to reach the next platform. Keep ascending and look for a branch wrapped in red-and-white ropes on the left; from that branch you should jump to a tightrope and then to a small platform ahead.

Next, jump across bamboo bridges and climb a short flight of stairs to an area above a blue lake. Use the bamboo bridge to cross to the far side and follow the only available path. There you will encounter another sequence of branches with red-and-white ropes; swing across them to reach the next tightrope.

Break a branch, jump on it, then cross two bamboo bridges. At the end of the second bridge, look right for a broken tree trunk with red-and-white ropes—use the hook to reach it. From that position, climb a nearby rock to access the path forward.

Head away from the area you came from to find a gate beside a broken bridge. Slightly below you to the left is a tightrope; jump onto it, then use a branch to reach another tightrope. Traverse the small platforms and swing across broken trunks until you reach a bamboo bridge and additional tight ropes. Climb the rocks at the top and squeeze through the opening to enter the flower-filled field that holds the shrine.

Faithful Leap shrine rewards

Completing the Faithful Leap shrine grants the charm of Futsunushi. This is a defensive charm that increases Atsu’s defense and also has a trait that makes parries, perfect parries, and perfect dodges easier to perform. Collect the charm at the shrine pedestal once you enter the field.
