Borderlands 4: 4 Bank Locations to Stash and Swap Guns Between Characters

Bank machines in Borderlands 4 let you stash guns and gear so your backpack doesn’t explode, and they also let you share items between characters. They’re free to use, shared across all characters on your account, and you must find and interact with a bank machine in the world to access the service.

How the bank system works in Borderlands 4

The bank is a world object: you must find a bank machine and interact with it to deposit or withdraw items. In short, you can move guns, shields, and other gear into the bank for free, and take them back later.

Because the bank is account-wide, anything deposited becomes accessible to every character on that account. So, for example, if you loot a great gun on Rafa but plan to use it on Vex, deposit it and switch characters to withdraw it later.

Additionally, bank capacity is limited at first. You can expand the number of stored items by using SDU tokens to unlock more slots, so consider saving tokens if you want a bigger shared stash.

All bank locations in Borderlands 4

There are four fixed bank locations in the game. You’ll usually unlock each bank as you progress through the story, so they’re easy to reach over time.

The Launchpad

The first bank machine appears early in the game at the Outbounders’ home base. It’s inside the same building that contains vending machines and other services, so you’ll spot it while handling supplies.

Carcadia

In Carcadia the bank sits inside the main building. Once you enter, turn left and head northwest; the bank is positioned beside two vending machines. It’s straightforward to find as long as you watch for the interior service area.

Belton’s Bore

Belton’s Bore can feel a little maze-like, but the bank itself is simple to locate. From the fast travel machine, turn right and go up the stairs. At the top you’ll find the bank machine near the landing.

Bones of Sanctuary

Bones of Sanctuary offers quick bank access. The machine sits outside, to the left of the vending machines in the hub area, making it fast to reach between runs.
