Resident Evil 9: Requiem – A New Chapter Begins
One of the biggest highlights will be Resident Evil Requiem, also known as Resident Evil 9. This is the next mainline entry in the legendary survival horror series. Revealed at Summer Game Fest, Requiem puts you in the shoes of *Grace Ashcroft*, an FBI agent investigating a series of mysterious deaths at a hotel—where her own mother died eight years ago. The story is set in Raccoon City, which was destroyed after the events of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.
What’s cool? Players will be able to switch between first- and third-person perspectives, offering a fresh take on gameplay. Resident Evil Requiem is currently scheduled for release in February 2026, so there’s still time to get hyped!
Pragmata – Capcom’s Mysterious New IP
Fans have been waiting a long time for Pragmata. This is Capcom’s first new original IP since Exoprimal in 2023. Interestingly, Pragmata was actually announced before Exoprimal, but has faced multiple delays. Now, it’s targeting a 2026 release window.
Those who got hands-on time at Summer Game Fest 2025 say Pragmata’s combat is exhilarating—so expectations are high. If you’re curious about what Capcom has in store, this Spotlight is the perfect chance to get a closer look.
Monster Hunter Wilds & Street Fighter 6 – What’s Next?
Of course, Capcom isn’t forgetting its other big franchises. Monster Hunter fans can expect updates on Wilds, while Street Fighter 6 players are hoping for new details on upcoming fighters like Sagat, Crimson Viper, Alex, and Ingrid.
Whether you’re a Monster Hunter veteran or a Street Fighter brawler, there’s bound to be something for everyone.
