The event runs on both July 5 and 6, from 2 to 5 p.m. in your local time zone. During these three hours, Eevee will spawn in large numbers with a high chance to be shiny. According to research from the now-archived The Silph Road (check it out here), shiny rates on Community Days hover around 1 in 24, so the more you catch, the better your odds.

Tips for Spotting Shiny Eevee Fast

If you’re pressed for time or low on Poké Balls, use an Incense to attract Eevee, then quickly tap each one to check if it’s shiny. Remember, Eevee you’ve already tapped will face your avatar, which helps avoid checking the same ones twice. Run away from non-shiny Eevee and keep hunting!

Special Moves for Eevee’s Evolutions

Any Eevee you evolve between July 5, 2 p.m., and July 12, 10 p.m. local time will learn unique charged moves depending on the evolution:

Vaporeon: Scald
Jolteon: Zap Cannon
Flareon: Superpower
Espeon: Shadow Ball
Umbreon: Psychic
Leafeon: Bullet Seed (fast move)
Glaceon: Water Pulse
Sylveon: Psyshock
