Tatsuki Fujimoto, the creator behind Chainsaw Man, is getting an anime anthology on Amazon Prime that adapts eight of his early short stories. The series, titled Tatsuki Fujimoto 17-26, collects works Fujimoto wrote between ages 17 and 26 and will stream worldwide in November 2025.

Tatsuki Fujimoto 17-26 is an anime anthology series on Prime Video that adapts eight of Fujimoto’s early short stories, drawn from his two short-story collections Tatsuki Fujimoto Short Stories 17-21 and 22-26, originally published by Shueisha’s Jump Comics. The production is overseen by Flagship Line and credited to the “Tatsuki Fujimoto 17-26” Production Committee.

Directors, studios and cast
Several notable directors are attached, including Tetsuaki Watanabe (Blue Lock), Nobuyuki Takeuchi (Fireworks, Should We See It from the Side or the Bottom?), and Kazuaki Terasawa (The Ancient Magus’ Bride season 2). Multiple animation studios are involved: ZEXCS, Lapin Track, GRAPH77, 100studio, Studio Kafka, and P.A.WORKS.
Additionally, the anthology features a stacked voice cast that includes Kensho Ono, Kana Hanazawa, Tomokazu Sugita, and Junichi Suwabe. Production oversight and credit rest with Flagship Line and the named production committee.
Creator’s comment
Fujimoto commented on the adaptations: “Having my works from my student years being adapted into anime made me anxious, wondering if this was really okay, and if these works might have relied too heavily on others’ inspiration.” said Fujimoto, creator of the original manga. “However, although I haven’t seen them yet, I believe that through the work of talented directors, they have become proper, well-crafted pieces.”
Release date and where to watch
Tatsuki Fujimoto 17-26 will launch globally on November 7, 2025. The series will stream on Amazon Prime Video when it premieres.
