How to start the “Recover the Stolen Record Collection” quest
During Episode 3 in Death Stranding 2, you’ll meet the Musician as you expand the Chiral Network across Australia. After finishing the main order “011 Destroy the Communications Disruptor and Deliver the Mysterious Recording to the Musician,” you’ll unlock a side quest: “103 [Breakable Cargo] Recover the Stolen Record Collection.”
Finding the stolen records: exact location
The Musician will show you that his precious record collection is somewhere at the bottom of the cliff right behind his shelter. Don’t worry—it’s not as tough as it sounds, but you’ll want to be careful. The best way down is to use at least three climbing anchors. Place the first one at the edge and descend, setting up additional anchors as you go.
Once you reach the marked area, you’ll need to search a bit. If you want a quick tip, just press L1 and use your scanner to highlight the lost cargo. But if you prefer a more hands-on approach, keep an eye out for a cluster of yellow containers on your right—they’re hard to miss and signal you’re close to the prize. To get across the steepest part, a ladder will be super handy.
Retrieving the cargo: don’t break it!
Carefully make your way to the spot with the yellow containers. The record collection is large and, as the quest name says, breakable. Be gentle on your climb back up and avoid any big falls or rough handling.
Once you’ve got the goods, head back to the Musician’s shelter. Deliver the cargo in perfect condition and you’ll get a bunch of likes—enough to boost your Connection Level with the Musician to almost 3!
