What to expect from Diablo 4 season 10
Season of Infernal Chaos focuses on a chaos theme that affects skills, loot, and endgame encounters. In short, the season adds a new perk system, special rifts, unique armor types, and changes to an established endgame activity.
Chaos Perks and Chaos Rifts
During the season you can equip Chaos Perks, which are alternate versions of class skills. Each character has four Chaos Perk slots, and perks come in rarities from Magic up to Unique. To find more perks, you must explore Chaos Rifts.
Chaos Rifts can appear while running Nightmare dungeons or during Helltides. When you activate a rift, waves of enemies spawn. If you clear the waves, rewards include Infernal Warp (the seasonal currency), equipment, and potentially Chaos Perks dropped by enemies from the rift.
Chaos Armors and rewards
Season 10 introduces Chaos Armors, which are Unique armor pieces with new and stronger abilities. Importantly, these Unique powers occupy slots that original Unique armor pieces cannot, so they open up new build combinations without replacing existing Unique gear.
In addition to gear, Infernal Warp can be spent on seasonal progression and rewards, so expect to collect currency as you clear rifts and other seasonal content.
Infernal Hordes update and new boss
There is also a permanent update to Infernal Hordes, Diablo 4’s core endgame activity. The update adds changed versions of familiar enemies and introduces new foes. As part of that update, a new boss arrives: Bartuc, the Vizjerei Warlord. Players fighting Infernal Hordes will have the chance to encounter Bartuc.
Overall, Season 10 is focused on mixing new skill options with updated endgame challenges. Expect to experiment with Chaos Perks, hunt Chaos Armors, and test builds against revised Infernal Hordes.
