Disco Elysium Creators Drop Bold Fashion Line Inspired by The Alters Game

The world of video games and fashion just got a lot closer. ZA/UM Atelier, the creative team behind Disco Elysium, has joined forces with 11 bit studios (the makers of This War of Mine and Frostpunk) to launch a unique clothing line inspired by their upcoming sci-fi survival game, The Alters. And yes, it’s as cool as it sounds!
- ZA/UM Atelier teams up with 11 bit studios for a fashion collab
- Collection inspired by The Alters game, revealed during Paris Fashion Week
- Track suit, sheep-shaped bag, and more available for pre-order
- Designs focus on identity and self-expression
The Alters meets high fashion
ZA/UM Atelier is no stranger to stylish drops, having previously released a Disco Elysium-inspired collection. This time, they’ve set their sights on The Alters, a sci-fi survival game where identity is everything. The first look at the new line happened alongside Paris Fashion Week, and fans can already pre-order a track suit and a quirky, sheep-shaped shoulder bag—directly referencing The Alters’ Project Dolly and the famous cloned sheep, Dolly.
Two standout pieces are up for grabs right now: the Jan Dolski Dolly mission jacket (€399) and matching utility pants (€289). Plus, the Dolly Baa-Baag (€169) is available for those looking to make a statement. More pieces are on the way, including a kimono-inspired jacket and a winter coat that wouldn’t look out of place in a Mœbius comic.
Identity through design
“The Alters is a game about who we are — and who we might’ve been. The way we present ourselves to the world – through clothing, expression, or even the smallest personal detail — is deeply tied to the lives we live and the choices we make,” said Tomasz Kisilewicz, The Alters game director at 11 bit studios. This collaboration is all about turning those themes into wearable art.
Kristiina Ago, head of ZA/UM Atelier, added: “The Alters deep and sometimes painful journey of ‘self’ seemingly implored us to dive into the texture, technique, utility, and storytelling that define Jan Dolski’s personal style. Our Paris Fashion Week exhibition is the culmination of year-long design exploration. We are extremely honoured to have been entrusted with extending The Alters experience, ZA/UM Atelier’s first studio collaboration, into the world of fashion.”
What’s next for ZA/UM Atelier?
Mikk Metsniit from ZA/UM Studio summed it up: “I think it’s fair to say that when we’re not making our own art, we are deeply admiring the creative genius of other studios. Our hope is that The Alters is the first of many Atelier collaborations.”
All pieces are available for pre-order and are set to ship later this year. If you’re a fan of unique gaming merch or just love fashion with a story, this collection might be for you.
