Event overview and bonuses
The Team Go Rocket takeover runs from Sept. 16 to Sept. 21. Indeedee debuts in the game, and defeating Giovanni can lead to an encounter with shadow Tornadus.
During the event, Team Go Rocket members will appear more often in balloons and at PokéStops. You can use TMs to remove the move Frustration from shadow Pokémon, and shadow Pokémon caught from raids will have a wider spread of stats. Additionally, you’ll get extra candy for Nice Throws or better, an increased chance to get Candy XL, and any eggs placed into incubators during the event will have halved hatch distance. Solrock and Lunatone — usually regional — will appear in the wild worldwide for the event.
