Dune: Awakening – How and Where to Find Erythrite Crystals Fast for Crafting

If you’re on the hunt for Erythrite Crystals in Dune: Awakening, you’re in the right place. These shiny pink rocks are a must if you want to craft essential items like cobalt paste or finally build your first Ornithopter. But here’s the thing—finding them isn’t as easy as just wandering around Arrakis. Let’s get straight to the point so you can gear up and grab those crystals!

  • Where to find Erythrite Crystals
  • What gear you’ll need before heading out
  • How to stay safe in Hagga Rift
  • What you can craft with Erythrite Crystals

Where to look for Erythrite Crystals in Dune: Awakening

First things first—Erythrite Crystals only spawn in one spot on the map: the infamous Hagga Rift. This deep trench stretches from just north of Riftwatch, snakes through Jabal Eifrit Al-janub, and pops you out at Pinnacle Station. If you’re looking for those crystals, that’s your destination.

The crystals themselves are hard to miss once you get there—they’re giant, pink, and glowing. But don’t expect to spot them right away. Usually, you’ll start seeing the first clusters about halfway through the trench. Our first find was right by the Wreck of the Kytheria, then more near the CHOAM Mining Facilities. So keep your eyes peeled as you move deeper into Hagga Rift!

What to bring with you

Before you make your way into the rift, check your equipment. You’ll need a Mk. 2 Cutteray or better to actually harvest Erythrite Crystal. Look for the orange background on the item info panel. If your tool is grey or purple, it won’t work—simple as that.

Remember, Hagga Rift isn’t exactly a safe place. Scavengers and other hostiles roam these parts, so stock up on healkits, bring your best knife (a Crysknife with a Worm Tooth is perfect), and don’t forget to upgrade your gear. Moving around is way easier with a vehicle—even a sandbike will do the trick. Pro tip: vehicles can act as a respawn point, meaning if you get taken out, you’ll be closer to your lost backpack.

Why you need Erythrite Crystals

Erythrite Crystals combine with water to make cobalt paste, a key ingredient for advanced crafting and fabrication. You’ll need this paste for better vehicles and high-tier equipment. But here’s a tip—if you keep your vehicles repaired, you won’t have to craft new parts all the time, saving you a lot of grind and time on Arrakis.
