Elden Ring Nightreign Players Deserve a Better Way to Thank and Apologize After Battles

Elden Ring Nightreign offers intense co-op action, but it seriously lacks a simple way to thank or apologize to your teammates after a tough expedition. After teaming up with fellow Nightfarers to take down challenging bosses like the Everdark Sovereign Adel Baron of Night, players find the post-game interaction window far too short to express gratitude or admit mistakes.

Thank You or Sorry? Elden Ring Nightreign Needs a Better Way

In Elden Ring Nightreign, the rush to the next boss or event leaves almost no time to properly thank your squad or say sorry when things go sideways. The game is designed for quick, anonymous matchmaking, which means no voice chat and only basic map markers for communication. After a grueling 40-minute fight, the few seconds you get to exchange gestures or messages just aren’t enough.

For example, after a successful take down of Adel Baron of Night, one player named Vic, who landed the killing blow solo, deserved a big thank you. But the only chance to express that was a quick “Thank you” using the Prattling Pete emote before the game pushed everyone to the next screen. It’s like trying to catch the credits on a streaming service before it skips to the next episode.

Why More Post-Game Time Would Help

Having an extra 10 seconds or so after each expedition, whether a win or a loss, would be a simple yet meaningful quality-of-life improvement. It would let players do those silly, fun gestures they’ve paid Murk for and actually connect with their anonymous teammates. Plus, it’d give a chance to apologize when a fight doesn’t go as planned.

In one recent match, after some sloppy moves, two players went down fighting Heolstor the Nightlord, leaving a third to almost finish the boss solo. There was no way to say “Sorry” or “Thanks for holding the fort” in-game afterward. A post-lobby screen for sending quick kudos or apologies would make the experience feel more complete and less rushed.

Looking Ahead: What Could Change?

While improvements like better Relics sorting are welcome, the community would really appreciate a little breathing room after expeditions. FromSoft could consider adding a short post-game downtime, allowing players to share appreciation or feedback directly in the game. It would strengthen the cooperative spirit and make every expedition feel more personal.

Until then, players like me are grateful to have platforms where we can publicly thank our teammates — like this one — but nothing beats being able to say it right there, in the moment, in Elden Ring Nightreign itself.
