Every Hammerhead Choppa Location in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 — Grab Your Ride Fast (Plus Controls & Solo Tips)

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 adds the new Hammerhead Choppa, a Hornet‑like flying transport that carries you and your squad across the island. It has no built‑in weapons, but passengers can still shoot from the air, and the Choppa’s guaranteed spawns make it useful for completing week 3 quests quickly.

    • Where the Hammerhead Choppas spawn.
    • How to pilot and use the Choppa’s basic controls.
  • Tips for shooting from the Choppa, including a solo trick.

All Hammerhead Choppa locations in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4

There are six Hammerhead Choppas on the Chapter 6 Season 4 map. Specifically, you’ll find:

  • One at the Infected Outpost northwest of Supernova Academy.
  • Three at O.X.R. HQ.
  • One at the Infected Outpost north of Canyon Crossing.
  • One at the Infected Outpost west of Kappa Kappa Factory.

Because these spawns are guaranteed, if you land on a marked spot and the Choppa isn’t there, another player already grabbed it. Therefore, if you need a Choppa for a week 3 quest, land at one of these locations right away.

How to control the Hammerhead Choppa

Controls are simple and similar to other Fortnite vehicles. To lift off, press Jump or Primary Fire. To descend, press Aim or Alternate Fire. Meanwhile, use your usual movement inputs — whether that’s WASD on keyboard or the left stick on a controller — to steer.

Other useful controls:

  • Boost: press the sprint button for a short speed burst.
  • Switch seats: press crouch to change positions (driver/passenger).
  • Broadcast: press quick chat (B on keyboard or down on the D‑pad) to toggle the loudspeakers.

Keep in mind the Choppa has no onboard weapons, so passengers must use their own guns. However, passengers can still rain fire down while airborne, which makes it a strong transport for coordinated teams.

How to hit opponents beyond 50 meters while in the Hammerhead Choppa

If you’re solo but still need to complete a Choppa mission, there’s a reliable trick. First, grab a Choppa and then switch seats so the vehicle hovers in place. Next, shoot from the passenger seat at enemies below. This lets you hit targets at distance, but be careful: you become a sitting duck while not piloting.

So, if the Choppa starts taking heavy fire, swap back to the driver’s seat and take off. The Choppa has decent health, but it won’t tank endless damage. In short, hover to shoot when safe, and fly away when things get hot.
