Wednesday season 2 part 2 — Sept. 3 on Netflix
What we know
Wednesday returns with the remaining half of its eight-episode second season on Netflix. Jenna Ortega stars as Wednesday Addams. The first half of season 2 ended with Wednesday in a coma, and the story continues with threats in Nevermore and the town of Jericho, plus an ongoing mystery involving a group of murderous crows.
The Paper — Sept. 4 on Peacock
Creator Greg Daniels developed this workplace sitcom set at a struggling newspaper in Toledo, Ohio. Domhnall Gleeson stars as editor-in-chief Ned Sampson. The series is a 10-episode season on Peacock and includes a cameo appearance from Oscar Nunez reprising his Office character.
Only Murders in the Building season 5 — Sept. 9 on Hulu
The fifth season centers on the Arconia residents Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin), Oliver Putnam (Martin Short), and Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez) investigating the death of their doorman, Lester (Teddy Coluca). Meryl Streep and Nathan Lane return, and new guest stars include Christoph Waltz and Keegan-Michael Key.
Gen V season 2 — Sept. 17 on Prime Video
Gen V resumes with students returning to Godolkin University. Jaz Sinclair leads as Marie Moreau. Erin Moriarty’s Annie January/Starlight appears in season 2, and Hamish Linklater joins as Dean Cipher. The series was reworked after the passing of Chance Perdomo; his character Andre Anderson was not recast.
Black Rabbit — Sept. 18 on Netflix
Jason Bateman and Jude Law star as brothers who co-found a New York nightclub. The series is a Netflix miniseries; details beyond the premise and main cast were limited as of the announcement.
Haunted Hotel — Sept. 19 on Netflix
Created by Matt Roller, this adult animated comedy is set at the Undervale, a hotel for ghosts. The voice cast includes Will Forte, Skyler Gisondo, Jimmi Simpson, Eliza Coupe, and Natalie Palamides. It is an adult animated series on Netflix.
Marvel Zombies — Sept. 24 on Disney Plus
Marvel Zombies is an animated MCU project based on the Robert Kirkman comic premise. The series follows survivors facing zombified versions of MCU characters while searching for a cure. Cast members set to reprise their MCU roles include Awkwafina, David Harbour, Simu Liu, Elizabeth Olsen, Randall Park, Florence Pugh, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Hailee Steinfeld, Tessa Thompson, and Dominique Thorne. The series premieres on Disney Plus.
Slow Horses season 5 — Sept. 24 on Apple TV Plus
Adapted from Mick Herron’s Slough House novels, Slow Horses stars Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb. Season 5 continues the story of MI5 agents relegated to Slough House and will air on Apple TV Plus. The show had already been renewed for additional seasons beyond this one.
Wayward — Sept. 25 on Netflix
Created by Mae Martin, Wayward is a horror-thriller set in the rural town of Tall Pines. Martin stars as police officer Alex Dempsey, and Sarah Gadon plays Laura. Alice in Borderland season 3 — Sept. 25 on Netflix
This live-action adaptation from Shinsuke Sato follows Arisu (Kento Yamazaki) and Usagi (Tao Tsuchiya). Season 3 picks up after a time jump with the characters free from the Borderland, the parallel world where they previously played deadly games adapted from the manga by Haro Aso.
Solar Opposites season 6 — Oct. 13 on Hulu
Solar Opposites, created by Justin Roiland and Mike McMahan, continues into a sixth season on Hulu. Dan Stevens and Thomas Middleditch lead the voice cast; the show follows a family-like group of aliens on Earth.
Ghosts season 5 — Oct. 16 on CBS
Ghosts follows Sam and Jay Arondekar, New Yorkers who inherit a country home that is inhabited by a group of ghosts. The series is an American adaptation of a British format and will air its fifth season on CBS.
Talamasca: The Secret Order — Oct. 26 on AMC
Part of AMC’s Immortal Universe, Talamasca: The Secret Order focuses on the Talamasca, a secret organization that monitors supernatural activity. Nicholas Denton stars as Guy Anatole, an agent tasked with uncovering corruption within the organization. The series connects to vampires, witches, and other supernatural elements and premieres on AMC.
Hazbin Hotel season 2 — Oct. 29 on Prime Video

Created by Vivienne “Vivziepop” Medrano, Hazbin Hotel was picked up by A24 and is set to release season 2 on Prime Video. The series follows Charlie Morningstar and her efforts to redeem denizens of Hell. The original pilot appeared on YouTube and exceeded 100 million views; the series’ voice cast and musical elements were prominent in early announcements.
Star Wars: Visions season 3 — Oct. 29 on Disney Plus
Season 3 of Star Wars: Visions is an anthology of nine new anime shorts from studios including ANIMA, David Production, Polygon Pictures, Project Studio Q, and WIT Studio. The season aims to explore themes linked to the saga’s Japanese roots and includes stories that touch on feudal elements and the concept of ki.
It: Welcome to Derry — October TBD on HBO Max
Bill Skarsgård returns as Pennywise in It: Welcome to Derry, which premieres on HBO Max in October (exact date TBD). The new film features cast members including Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, and Chris Chalk, among others.
Pluribus — Nov. 7 on Apple TV Plus

The Mighty Nein — Nov. 19 on Prime Video

Stranger Things season 5 — Nov. 26 on Netflix
The fifth and final season of Stranger Things begins a multi-part release with the first installment arriving on Nov. 26 on Netflix. The season continues the Hawkins storyline after season 4’s events involving the Upside Down.
The Witcher season 4 — 2025 TBD on Netflix
Netflix listed The Witcher season 4 for 2025 with a TBD release date. Henry Cavill departed the series after season 3; production announced Liam Hemsworth would take over the role of Geralt of Rivia. Other confirmed cast members include Anya Chalotra (Yennefer), Freya Allan (Ciri), and Laurence Fishburne (Regis).
