Free Shiny Legendaries Alert: Claim All 4 in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet via Mystery Gift — Ends Sept. 30
Good news for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players: all four shiny Treasures of Ruin Legendary Pokémon are available to claim for free through Mystery Gift. You don’t need to have beaten the raids yourself — just pick them up before the deadline.
What happened
During the July Pokémon Presents, Game Freak and The Pokémon Company featured five-star Tera Raids called the *Treasures of Ruin*. Each raid presented a shiny version of a Legendary: Wo-Chien, Chien-Pao, Ting-Lu, and Chi-Yu.
Moreover, each shiny had a global unlock condition: they needed to be defeated at least 1 million times to become available via Mystery Gift. In practice, players exceeded those targets; each of the four shinies was defeated at least 3.1 million times before their raids expired.
How to claim the shiny Treasures of Ruin
To receive these shiny Pokémon, open the X menu in-game, go to Poké Portal, then select Mystery Gift. Choose Get via Internet, and pick which shiny Legendary you want. You can repeat the process to collect all four.
Deadline and other details
All four shiny Legendaries — Wo-Chien, Chien-Pao, Ting-Lu, and Chi-Yu — are available via Mystery Gift until Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 7:59 p.m. EDT. They are claimable regardless of whether you personally defeated them in the raids.
Finally, remember to connect to the internet in the game and check the Poké Portal before the cutoff. After the deadline passes, these Mystery Gift distributions will no longer be redeemable.
