Reliquary of Strength location in Ghost of Yōtei

The Reliquary of Strength sits in the Ishikari Plain region, northwest of Atsu’s home. To reach it, you need to pass through Matsumae Encampment and head north; the shrine is next to Ishikari Fork. However, keep in mind that some gates to this area only open after you complete a couple of quests—so progress in the story first if you can’t enter right away.

Reliquary of Strength puzzle solution in Ghost of Yōtei

The puzzle has a main altar with four small statues around it. Only three statues wear red masks. Read the riddle on the altar if you want to work it out yourself; otherwise, follow these concrete steps below. First, stand facing the altar where the riddle is written so the statue numbering below matches what you see.

The goal is to have the three red-masked statues all facing *away* from the central altar. To do that, rotate the statues in this order:

• Rotate statue one once.
• Rotate statue two twice.
• Rotate statue one once.
• Rotate statue three twice.

After the final rotation a short scene plays and Atsu receives the reward. If you make a mistake, don’t worry: open the map, select the Reliquary of Strength, and use the “Travel” command to reset the puzzle.

Completing the Reliquary of Strength grants the Charm of Mount Yōtei, or an upgrade to that charm if you already own it. The charm provides a minor defense increase for Atsu. Moreover, rewards from mountain reliquary puzzles appear to scale: solving more of these reliquaries upgrades the charm further.
