Highlights
To start, the patch adds the true ending and an epilogue, both of which you can experience without restarting a save. In addition, most characters received new story or gift events, there are 50 new achievements (some earnable retroactively), and you can now give your animal familiar a makeover. Furthermore, the update introduces new locations tied to the true ending and adds areas in Oceanus and the Summit.
Also included are new keepsakes, more decorations for the Crossroads Renewal Project, the ability to brew Ambrosia in the Crossroads Cauldron, and cosmetic familiar forms via an “Alteration of Familiar Forms” incantation.
Achievements
The update adds 50 achievements. Importantly, you do not need to start over: some achievements can be granted retroactively when you load existing saves.
New story content & locations
Several narrative and location additions arrived with 1.0. First, the game now includes the true ending and an epilogue, both accessible without a fresh save. Second, there are new locations connected to the true ending, plus additional Rooms in Oceanus and the Summit.
Moreover, most cast members received new story events or gift interactions. The Book of Shadows also gained new entries and updated unlocking requirements. Finally, the update adds new minor prophecies — nine in total — that reward various in-game actions tied to characters like Medea, Circe, Arachne, and Polyphemus.
Gameplay and balance changes
The patch contains many combat and balance adjustments across weapons, boons, foes, and Path of Stars upgrades. For example:
- Nocturnal Arms: Sister Blades damage and range increased; Umbral Flames Special damage reduced; Moonstone Axe Special speed increased and made easier to dash out of.
- Aspects: Specific Aspects received targeted fixes and stat changes (e.g., Moonstone Axe aspects gained life/attack power tweaks; Argent Skull aspect fix for Medea).
- Boons: Numerous god boons adjusted — for instance, Hera’s Nexus Rush now affects surrounding foes; Apollo’s Nova Strike and Nova Flourish areas increased; several boons had cost, area, or effect clarifications and fixes.
- Enemies: Many foes were rebalanced — Prometheus ground-slam damage reduced; Chronos throw damage increased and Tempus behavior adjusted; Scylla life and damage increased; several enemy attack speeds, ranges, and spawn rates were tweaked across Regions.
- Resource economy: Nightmares and Star Dust are more expensive at the Wretched Broker; some reagent and upgrade costs were adjusted.
- Difficulty shifts: Prometheus encounters became a bit easier while Chronos received power increases; additionally, certain late-game encounters had behavior, hitbox, and damage adjustments.
Art, animation and audio updates
Visual and audio work is substantial. Nearly every Olympian received portrait and model updates. Specifically, the patch adds 3D models and animations for characters such as Arachne, Selene, and certain Satyrs; it also updates Melinoë’s appearance during Dark Side effects and adds ambient FX on many portraits.
Audio changes include new songs for Regions and shows, updated SFX for various attacks and menu navigation, and adjusted music volume during dialogue. In short, the update improves clarity and presentation both in battle and in menus.
Quality of life, UI and resources
Several UI and QoL improvements arrived. For example:
- The Main Menu and several screens got updated artwork and animations.
- The Altar of Ashes now displays fully-upgraded Arcana Cards larger, and the selection highlight was updated.
- Crossroads Renewal Project: more decorative items were added, Dora now indicates when new decorations are available, and additional Arcana card backs were included.
- Crossroads Cauldron: new incantations such as Alteration of Familiar Forms, Shimmering Ambrosia, and Greater Removal of Rubbish were added.
- Resource rename: the resource previously called Prestige is now called Kudos. Also, Zodiac Sand and Void Lenses you had were automatically exchanged for Kudos as part of the True Ending conversion.
- Familiars: increased chance to find matching resources based on which familiar is active; Hecuba is recruitable earlier; familiar presentation when blocking damage is faster.
Bug fixes and polish
The patch fixes many issues. Notable fixes include:
- Various narrative progression issues were addressed so events no longer block progression incorrectly.
- Fixed interactions where certain abilities or items failed to apply their intended bonuses (for example, Extra Dose with Apollo, and Sinister Pinion Daedalus interaction).
- Resolved situations where Melinoë could get stuck in combat animations or be placed out-of-bounds by specific moves.
- Fixed several visual and audio glitches across menus and combat, including lingering effects during Return to Shadow sequences and incorrect exit door visuals in Ephyra.
Overall, the 1.0 patch is wide-ranging: it brings new narrative beats and areas, many visual and audio polish touches, a long list of combat and enemy adjustments, and a suite of UI and quality-of-life changes. For players coming from Early Access, you can access most new content without restarting your save.
