Hades 2 Finally Drops 1.0 on Sept. 25 — Switch, Switch 2 (120 FPS) & PC With Cross-Save Support
Hades 2 is leaving early access and arriving in full on September 25. Nintendo announced during Friday’s Direct that the game will launch as a 1.0 release for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and Windows PC.

Release date and platforms
The 1.0 release is set for Sept. 25 and will be available on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and Windows PC. Additionally, Nintendo revealed the news during its Direct presentation on Friday.
The Switch versions are a timed Nintendo console exclusive. For context, the original Hades did not arrive on PlayStation and Xbox until almost a year after its initial release.
Performance on Switch hardware and cross-save support
Supergiant Games confirmed technical targets for each Nintendo platform. On Nintendo Switch 2 the game will support 120 fps in TV Mode, while the original Nintendo Switch will run the game at 60 fps.
Moreover, players will be able to transfer existing progress with Cross Saves. Specifically, progress from Steam or Epic can be carried over to the Switch and PC 1.0 release.
Early access timeline and recent updates
Hades 2 entered early access and was shadow dropped on May 6, 2024. Since then, Supergiant rolled out multiple updates.
In June, Supergiant hinted that the full release was near, saying it was “very excited to be getting close” to the game’s full launch. Then, the studio issued a “final” update in July, followed by a second “final” update a few weeks later.
Reception so far
Since the early access release, Hades 2 has received an overwhelmingly positive reception from players and critics. The game’s steady update cadence and platform rollouts continued up to the announced 1.0 launch date.
