Hades 2: Unlock All 6 Nocturnal Arms Fast — Exact Costs, Where to Farm Them, and Quick Tips

Weapons in Hades 2 — officially called Nocturnal Arms — are Melinoë’s main way to deal damage. They change how you play, and each one feels very different, so unlocking them matters. Below, you’ll find a clear list of every weapon, what each costs to craft, and where to find the resources that unlock them.

All Hades 2 weapons and unlock costs

Hades 2 includes six Nocturnal Arms at launch. Each weapon has a basic attack and a special attack, and both can be charged into an Omega version that costs magick but usually does more. Below are the weapons and the exact costs to craft them.

  • Witch’s Staff (Descura) — starting weapon. Simple melee combo for basic play; the special fires a projectile that can explode when charged.
  • Sister Blades (Lim and Oros) — 1 silver. Fast attacks, lower single-hit damage. The Omega basic lets you teleport behind an adjacent enemy.
  • Umbral Flames (Flames of Ygnium) — 2 silver, 2 cinder. Ranged fire orbs and a special that surrounds you with orbs; useful for distance play.
  • Moonstone Axe (Zorephet) — 10 silver. Slow but high-damage swings; great for clearing rooms, less ideal versus mobile bosses.
  • Argent Skull (Revaal) — 1 bronze, 2 glassrock. Uses three skulls as ammo; fired skulls remain on the ground until you pick them up. Special is a dash that helps you recover skull ammo.
  • Black Coat (Xinth) — 2 cinder, 2 adamant. Punch-based melee with a chargeable block; special fires rockets and the Omega creates homing missiles that seek targets you mark.

How to unlock weapons in Hades 2

To craft Nocturnal Arms, stand in the staging room and interact with the large circle of light in the center to open the weapon menu. Most weapons require silver, while some also need other reagents like cinder, glassrock, bronze, or adamant. Additionally, to mine resource nodes you must first unlock the Crescent Pick, which costs one ash.

How to get resources

Silver

Find silver in Erebus as mounds of crescent moons. Each mound gives three silver. If you unlock the Reagent Sensing incantation (cost: one moly flower), the game will highlight silver nodes after you clear a room. Also, Narcissus in Oceanus can sometimes offer six silver as a rotating reward, but the Crescent Pick is the reliable way to gather it.

Cinder

Cinder is dropped by Hecate. Specifically, you receive one cinder each time you defeat her. Therefore, unlocking weapons that require cinder means defeating Hecate multiple times — for example, the Umbral Flames need two cinder.

Glassrock

Glassrock (often called G rock) appears in the Fields of Mourning. As with silver, the Reagent Sensing incantation will point you to nearby glassrock mounds once you’ve cleared a room.

Bronze

Bronze is found in the City of Ephyra on the Surface. Reaching that area is required to mine bronze nodes. Once topside, use the Reagent Sensing incantation to see bronze mounds. Note that reaching the Surface and surviving there requires casting an incantation that lets you exist on the Surface (this uses thalamus as a resource).

Adamant

Adamant is located in the Mount Olympus region on the Surface. Follow the Reagent Sensing incantation while topside and look for black-and-blue rocks sparkling in the snow; those are adamant nodes to mine.

Will more weapons be added to Hades 2?

According to Supergiant’s in-game roadmap and patch notes, the set of Nocturnal Arms is complete. As of version 1.0, these six weapons are the full roster included in Hades 2.
