Halo Hits PlayStation via Helldivers 2 — ODST Weapons and Armor Drop Aug. 26
Helldivers 2 will get Halo-themed gear on Aug. 26, bringing Halo 3: ODST weapons, armor and capes into the live-service shooter. The crossover items arrive the same day Helldivers 2 launches on Xbox Series X and Gears of War comes to PlayStation 5, so players on multiple platforms see new content at once.

What’s included
Arrowhead Games Studios announced the Helldivers 2 x Halo: ODST Legendary Warbond will add several Halo 3: ODST items to Helldivers 2. Specifically, the pack includes the MA5C Assault Rifle, M90A Shotgun, M6C/SOCOM Pistol and M7S SMG. Two ODST-style armor sets will arrive, and both come with the Feet First passive (which reduces movement noise and prevents leg injuries). Two ODST-inspired capes are included as well.
Names and nods
ODST normally stands for Orbital Drop Shock Troopers. In Helldivers 2, the troops are cheekily called Obedient Democracy Support Troopers, and the crossover fits because matches in both games begin with players dropping in from orbit.
Price and availability
The ODST Legendary Warbond costs 1,500 super credits. Moreover, Arrowhead says the Warbond won’t expire from the in-game store, so you can buy it later if you prefer to wait.
Release timing and platforms
The crossover lands on Aug. 26. In addition, that date coincides with Helldivers 2 arriving on Xbox Series X and with Gears of War coming to PlayStation 5, meaning multiple platform updates are happening at once.

Arrowhead described the crossover on the PlayStation Blog, saying: “This one’s a tribute to a long-requested crossover, packed with details that fans will love to discover.”
