Playable Demo at Gamescom
Microsoft announced that Hollow Knight: Silksong will be playable on PC and the ROG Xbox Ally X handheld during Gamescom 2025, which takes place from August 20 to 24. This is a huge step forward, as it confirms the game is not only real but in a playable state ready for public hands-on.

Xbox Gamescom Broadcast Schedule
If you can’t make it to Cologne, Germany, Xbox will stream their Gamescom broadcasts live on YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook. The broadcasts will take place on August 20 and 21, featuring a variety of games including Silksong, Ninja Gaiden 4, Overwatch 2, and The Outer Worlds 2.

During the June Xbox Showcase, Microsoft’s Sarah Bond confirmed that Hollow Knight: Silksong is set to release later this year on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and the ROG Xbox Ally X handheld. The game will also launch on Nintendo Switch, the rumored Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Windows PC. Importantly, Silksong will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one, making it accessible to a broad audience right at launch.
