How I Turned Gara into an Unstoppable Glass-Shattering Damage Machine in Warframe

Turning a Warframe into an unstoppable damage dealer sounds like a dream, right? Well, that’s exactly what I’ve been doing with Gara, my favorite Warframe. This elegant glass-wielding warrior has become a literal killing machine, dealing hundreds of thousands of damage with a clever combo of her abilities.

    • How Gara’s glass powers work together
    • The surprising synergy that makes Splinter Storm insanely strong
  • Why this build is fun but also a bit distracting
  • Tips on keeping the damage scaling going

Gara’s Glass Powers: Simple but Deadly

Gara’s all about glass—shards, mirrors, walls, and storms. Her first ability, Shattered Lash, smashes enemies without needing perfect aim, which is perfect for controller players like me. Then there’s Mass Vitrify, which creates a glass wall freezing enemies inside it. Toss Shattered Lash at that wall and it explodes, dealing huge damage to anyone trying to break through. Classic synergy!

Her second ability, Splinter Storm, creates a swirling cloud of glass around a target, dealing damage to nearby enemies. At first, I thought it was just “cool,” but it turns out it’s a game-changer.

The Ultimate Damage Combo: Splinter Storm + Mass Vitrify + Shattered Lash

Here’s the magic: Splinter Storm lasts 30 seconds and does a steady amount of damage (mine starts at 325). But casting Mass Vitrify resets that timer, letting you keep Splinter Storm active indefinitely if you have enough energy. The kicker? When you use Shattered Lash to break the glass wall from Mass Vitrify, some of that massive damage gets stored in Splinter Storm. This means your swirling glass cloud keeps scaling up, becoming a constant source of insane damage that can shred enemies instantly.

What It Feels Like in Action

My typical mission now looks like this: cast Splinter Storm, then Mass Vitrify, then blow up the glass wall with Shattered Lash. Then I just run around doing nothing while enemies explode around me. The constant sound of spinning glass and breaking shards is oddly satisfying, and watching my damage numbers climb is pure joy.

But There’s a Catch

You have to keep resetting the Splinter Storm timer, or all that damage resets back to a low base value. Letting it run out feels like losing all your power instantly — a harsh reminder to stay on top of your abilities.

Also, this build can make you a bit careless. I once missed out on valuable loot during a Disruption mission because I was too busy enjoying the chaos. My partner picked up six rare Entrati Lanthorns while I got zero, distracted by my glass carnage. Oops.

Still, Gara is my main. Her power and style fit me perfectly, and I’m not stopping anytime soon. The only thing left to do? Keep spinning that deadly glass cloud and watch enemies crumble.
