The Threadspun Town quest location
The quest begins in Haunted Bellhart, which sits between Greymoor and Shellwood. Specifically, Bellhart is to the left of Greymoor and to the right of Shellwood, so approach from either side depending on your map progress.
After you enter Bellhart, the objective will appear automatically when you see the townspeople wrapped in silk. Consequently, your next move is to prepare by getting the necessary movement ability described below.
The Threadspun Town quest walkthrough
First, you need the Cling Grip ability before you can reliably reach the area that leads to the boss. Cling Grip is found near the top of Shellwood; once you have it, return to Shellwood and start from the bench on the right side.
From that bench, take the elevator into the area on the right. Then, head right and jump up the platforms until you use Cling Grip to climb to higher ground. Break the bell walls as you go. Along the route you’ll meet regular furms and flying winged furms, which behave differently: regular furms pop from the ground, while winged furms patrol vertical shafts.
Proceed to the right but avoid dropping immediately into the large pit. A winged furm patrols that corridor and there are spikes below. Either wait for it to fly up or defeat it, then carefully drop to the ledge on the right and break the next bell wall. Drop into the pit and head left at the bottom to find another vertical path blocked by a winged furm.
As the second winged furm descends, glide down behind it and enter the opening on the left. Before dropping again, note there is yet another winged furm in the next area. It helps to eliminate the first so you don’t get flanked from above. Continue left after opening the hidden passage — this will loop you back toward the Shellwood bench so you can avoid repeated winged-furm encounters.
After reopening the route, return to the boss entrance. The boss you face is Widow, a spider who cursed Bellhart with silk.
Boss — Widow: what to watch for
Widow uses many bells as weapons. For example, she drops bells from the ceiling and sometimes slings them toward you. Therefore, the safe tactic is to hit or deflect bells away from yourself because they bounce on the floor before vanishing.
Also, when Widow skitters across the ground she causes ceiling obstacles to fall in the direction she ran. So, if she runs from right to left, the falling hazards will follow that same path. To dodge those, jump into an empty spot and then glide over the falling pieces until they clear.
Finally, when you defeat Widow, the silk binding the townspeople breaks and the quest advances to completion.
The Threadspun Town quest reward
Upon freeing Bellhart, you learn how to play the Needolin, an instrument made from your needle and silk. In addition, Bellhart’s shops reopen, allowing you to use their services — notably, you can upgrade your needle at their stores.
Overall, completing this quest both lifts the curse on the town and grants a new tool (the Needolin) plus access to NPC services for upgrades.
