Jack Black Doubles Down in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 With Two Hilarious Roles

Jack Black just can’t stay away from video games—and this summer he’s back in the wild world of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4. Not only does he return as the fan-favorite Officer Dick, but he’s also lending his voice to a new British character, Constable Richard, who’ll be policing the London level. If you’re a fan of Jack Black’s chaotic energy, you’re in for a treat.

  • Jack Black voices both Officer Dick and Constable Richard
  • Classic character returns with a UK twist
  • Game launches July 11 on all major platforms
  • Other guest stars include Doom Slayer, TMNT’s Michelangelo, and Bam Margera

Officer Dick is Back—with a British Cousin

Jack Black is everywhere lately, from the Mario movie to Minecraft and Borderlands. Now, he’s back in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4, bringing not one, but two ridiculous characters to life. In addition to the legendary Officer Dick, Black will voice Constable Richard—a British counterpart debuting in the London level. Want to see the reveal? Check out the trailer here:

A Little Lore, a Lot of Laughs

According to an Activision press release, Officer Dick (real name Richard Ennvee) “was mocked by other skaters and called a ‘poser.’ Overtaken by the need for revenge, Dick vowed to one day become what those skaters feared most—the long arm of the law!” Constable Richard doesn’t get as much backstory, but Activision promises he’s “every bit as hard-nosed and utterly ridiculous as Officer Dick.”

Classic Character, New Roster

For anyone who missed it, Officer Dick has been a quirky staple in the Tony Hawk franchise since the original game, popping up as an unlockable skater through Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3. He’s made appearances in Project 8, Pro Skater HD, and of course, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2—where Jack Black took over the role as Jables himself.

This time, Black joins an all-star roster that includes Doom Slayer, TMNT’s Michelangelo, and Bam Margera. That’s right, you’ll be able to pull off sick tricks as all of them when the game drops.

Jack Black: The Ubiquitous Gamer

Jack Black is no stranger to gaming. He led the way in Double Fine’s cult classic Brütal Legend, and lately, he’s been a big name in gaming-themed movies and projects. He’s voiced Bowser in the Mario movies, brought Claptrap to life in Borderlands, and starred in the live-action Minecraft film. Now, he’s back to crack jokes and make faces in the latest Tony Hawk game.

When and Where Can You Play?

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 releases July 11 for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. Whether you’re a longtime fan or just here for Jack Black’s antics, there’s something for everyone in this skateboarding revival.
