Production and release

Sweet Revenge is presented by Horror Inc. under the Jason Universe label and credits Mike P. Nelson as writer-director. The short functions as both a branded piece and a franchise release, produced in partnership with Angry Orchard. It runs approximately 13 minutes and was released on YouTube. The project follows decades of franchise activity that include fan films, games, cancelled projects and ongoing legal disputes; for a recent summary of those disputes see the lawsuit coverage on Collider.

The main cast listed in the short includes Ally Ioannides as Eve, Toussaint Morrison as Kyle, Tim James White as Troy, Natassia Wakey as Dana, Chris Carlson as Harold, and Schuyler White as Jason Voorhees. The film’s runtime and credits are shown in the short’s release.

Plot summary

The short opens with four friends driving to a campsite. Their names and roles are shown on screen: Eve (Ally Ioannides) is with her fiancé-to-be Kyle (Toussaint Morrison), and they travel with Kyle’s friend Troy (Tim James White) and Dana (Natassia Wakey). During the drive, Eve expresses insecurity about why Kyle chose her. Dana replies, “The one finds you.”

The group arrives at a lakeside campsite run by Harold (Chris Carlson). Harold offers Eve an apple and mentions that he and his wife bought the property to save it from demolition despite its violent history. Eve later goes out on the lake in a boat and is pulled underwater by Jason Voorhees. The film then shifts to night scenes in which Eve reappears and discovers multiple dead bodies around the campsite.

Eve arms herself with a machete at one point. Jason attacks the cabin and kills several characters, including Kyle and Dana. Eve and Dana briefly escape in a car, but the vehicle later crashes. Eve gets out and encounters Jason on the road. Jason pins Eve with a machete to the chest, and Eve then removes the machete from her body and appears physically unhurt. The short ends with this ambiguous final image.

Ending and status

The film concludes on an unresolved note: Eve survives multiple lethal encounters on screen and removes a lodged machete, after which she appears unharmed. The short does not state whether the events are canonical within the broader Friday the 13th film continuity. No further episodes or follow-ups were announced in the short itself.
