The cult-favorite series Katamari Damacy is officially back on consoles after a 14-year break. The new game, Once Upon A Katamari, was revealed during the latest Nintendo Direct and is set to launch on October 24 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X.

What’s New in Once Upon A Katamari?
Once Upon A Katamari takes the Prince of Cosmos back to Earth after the King of All Cosmos accidentally destroys it. The gameplay involves rolling up objects through various time periods like the Jurassic Period, the Ice Age, and historic Japan to restore Earth. This time-travel twist adds a fresh layer to the classic roll-’em-up action fans love.
Meet KatamariBall – The New Multiplayer Mode
One of the exciting additions is KatamariBall, a four-player competitive mode where players race to roll the biggest katamari within a time limit. You can play online against friends or offline against CPU opponents, making it perfect for both solo and group play.

For those who have been enjoying the Katamari remakes and spinoffs over the years, there’s a nice perk. Players with save data from Katamari Damacy Reroll and We Love Katamari Reroll+ Royal Reverie will unlock a playable Young King character in Once Upon A Katamari when it launches.
