Game Description

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, also known as Kingdoms of Amalur Remastered, brings a polished spin to the 2012 action RPG classic. You play a hero who starts dead—literally—but gets revived with the chance to rewrite fate. It mixes solid combat with RPG elements, all set in a vibrant fantasy world that’s easy to dive into.

What’s the gameplay like?

This game leans into hack-and-slash combat, but it’s not just button mashing. You build your character with a skill tree spanning warrior, rogue, and mage abilities—over 60 skills in total. No fixed class at the start means you can mix and match on the fly. Side quests and guild missions offer plenty to do, even if the main story is a bit linear.

  • Dynamic combat with combos and quick time events
  • Flexible character development—warrior, rogue, mage or all three
  • Four races to choose from for character creation
  • Includes all DLC like The Legend of Dead Kel and Teeth of Naros
  • Single-player only, so no multiplayer distractions

What’s new in Re-Reckoning?

The remaster upgrades visuals with sharper textures and smoother frame rates. So if you played the original on older consoles, this one feels fresher and runs better. Don’t expect a total overhaul though—this is more like a groomed facelift than a plastic surgery.

Why give it a shot?

Ever wanted to reboot a classic RPG without the hassle of mods? This is your chance. It’s not trying to reinvent the wheel, but if you like action-packed fantasy RPGs with broad skill options and some story twists, give it a go. Lesson learned: always carry a spare sword.

Need a challenge? You got it.

The combat can be rewarding if you dive into the skill trees and upgrade wisely. The quick time events keep things lively—no falling asleep here. Plus, the world is colorful and full of lore if you like exploring.
