Leaked “Pokémon Wind” and “Wave” Renders Show Rounder Pikachu and Slimmer Charizard

Leaked images and model renders circulating online claim to show early work for two unannounced Pokémon titles, commonly referred to in the leak posts as “Wind” and “Wave.” The material includes updated looks for franchise staples such as Pikachu and Charizard, and leakers also describe broader changes to the series’ art direction and engine.
What the leaks show
Multiple posts from leak accounts have shared in-development assets that they say come from Game Freak projects titled “Pokémon Wind” and “Pokémon Wave.” The shared material includes 3D model renders, wireframes, and early environment screenshots. In addition, leakers claim these builds use a new engine and show a graphical jump compared with recent mainline entries.
Pikachu design
One leaked render shows Pikachu with a slightly rounder body and softer edges. Fans have noted that this version resembles how Pikachu is sometimes drawn in concept art, cards, and the anime, rather than the most recent game models. The image appears to be an in-progress asset, so details such as final textures and color are not necessarily set.

Charizard and other models
Another post shared an unfinished Charizard model that lacks final coloring. Observers pointed out that Charizard’s horns look elongated and its face appears slimmer than in recent depictions. Leakers also posted rough renders or partial views of other Pokémon, including Machamp and what appears to be Seaking.

Gameplay and wider leaks
According to posts from the same leak sources, Wind and Wave are described as survival-oriented experiences that emphasize island exploration and underwater areas. Early environment screenshots in the leaks show dense greenery and wild Pokémon present in those spaces. Leakers also say Game Freak is developing several other projects over the next few years, including a multi-region title and a Legends entry set in Galar’s past.

Verification and caveats
Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have not confirmed any of the material. The posts are presented as leaks of in-progress development, so assets may change or be discarded before any official release. In the past, comparisons have been made suggesting Game Freak reused assets between titles; for one such discussion about Sword and Shield, see this comparison. Additionally, earlier legal action was taken to investigate the source of a prior large leak.
In short, the shared images and descriptions are active claims online. Until an official announcement is made, these items should be treated as unverified early materials rather than final game content.
Note: One leak source referenced a design resemblance to depictions commonly used in card art and the anime, and another referenced inspiration from older open-world games such as Xenoblade Chronicles X in descriptions of a Legends-style title.
