Lego Batman Is Back — Legacy of the Dark Knight Brings Arkham-Style Combat to Consoles in 2026
Warner Bros. Games and TT Games announced a new Lego Batman game at Gamescom 2025. Called Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, it is the Caped Crusader’s first solo Lego console title in over a decade and is scheduled to launch in 2026.

What we saw at Gamescom
During the Gamescom presentation, TT Games showed gameplay footage of Lego Batman moving through a Lego-ized Gotham. The footage included *fast melee combos*, sliding attacks between enemies, and overhead stealth takedowns. Consequently, the combat and stealth beats on display resembled mechanics popularized by the Batman: Arkham series.
Trailer details
The trailer spoofed several well-known Batman film moments, including the car chase between Batman and the Penguin from The Batman, and Bane’s darkness monologue from The Dark Knight Rises. Notably, the trailer’s tone was described as less overtly comedic than the Lego Batman film adaptation.

Series history
Batman has appeared in Lego form across several titles. The console trilogy culminated with Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham in 2014. Later entries included the mobile The Lego Batman Movie Game in 2017 and the spin-off Lego DC Super-Villains in 2018. Therefore, this new entry returns Batman to a solo Lego console spotlight after more than ten years.
