Lego Party! Launches in September with Exclusive Minifigures and 60 Minigames to Challenge Mario Party Fans

Get ready to roll the dice and battle your friends, because Lego Party! is stepping up to challenge Mario’s multiplayer throne this fall. Announced during this year’s Summer Game Fest, Lego Party! will officially launch on September 30 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. Pre-orders are now open, and there’s a fun little bonus for those who jump in early.

  • Lego Party! launches September 30 on all major platforms
  • Pre-orders include five exclusive in-game minifigures
  • The game features 60 minigames at launch
  • Physical edition available in partnership with iam8bit
  • Gameplay inspired by Mario Party, but with unique Lego twists

Release Date and Pre-Order Perks

Lego Party! will be available both digitally and physically on September 30. The physical version is being made in partnership with iam8bit. If you pre-order now, you’ll get five exclusive in-game minifigures to play with—these include a punk rock shark and an astronaut. Additionally, pre-orders come with a 10% discount, making it a little easier on your wallet.

Gameplay: Classic Board Game Fun with a Lego Spin

Much like the Mario Party series, Lego Party! is a four-player multiplayer board game where players take turns moving around a digital Lego board and compete in a variety of minigames. However, there’s a twist: everything is made out of digital Lego bricks. Boards also change based on what structures players build during each round, so no two games are exactly the same.

Minigames and Features

At launch, Lego Party! will offer 60 minigames. While that number might sound lower than Mario Party Jamboree’s 112, it’s worth noting that only about half of Jamboree’s minigames appear in its standard rotation. In comparison, Lego Party!’s 60 minigames are focused on the core board game experience, similar to the classic Mario Party 4.

Customization is a big part of the fun. In addition to the minifigures you can unlock or get with pre-orders, there are plenty of options to tweak your characters and boards to your liking. The game’s announcement trailer also highlights a more dynamic turn order and boards that evolve as you play, thanks to the structures players choose to build.

Will Lego Party! Rival Mario’s Reign?

With its September release date right around the corner, the big question is whether Lego Party! can stand toe-to-toe with Mario’s legendary multiplayer series. According to early hands-on impressions, the game has potential, offering some fresh twists on the familiar party formula. Ultimately, it’ll come down to how fun—and competitive—the minigames are when friends gather around the console.
