Fandy posted a message and selfie saying, “My water just broke so I think I’m going this live … Baby time :)” before continuing on stream. The livestream was tagged as World of Warcraft gameplay. Friends, family, and two birthing specialists were present for a planned home birth that took place during the stream.

Labor and delivery timeline

The livestream lasted about eight hours. For most of the stream Fandy lay on her side while being examined by a midwife. Around five and a half hours in, contractions intensified. About six hours into the stream, Fandy entered a birthing pool.

Just under eight hours after going live, the baby’s head became visible and the child was delivered. The newborn was a girl and began crying almost immediately. After delivery, the crew repositioned the camera while birthing specialists helped with the placenta and immediate postpartum care.
