Starting the Revenant Remembrance Quest
First things first: you need to have Revenant as a playable character. This involves buying the Besmirched Frame and defeating Revenant plus her summons in combat. Once done, you’ll unlock Revenant at Roundtable Hold and can start her Remembrance quest immediately in Chapter 1 — no need to beat other Nightlords first.
Chapter 1: Retrieve a Weapon Wielded by Forces of Night
After kicking off the quest, talk to the Duchess and exhaust her dialogue. Then, chat with the Guardian who asks for a weapon of the night to better understand your common enemy. The journal might say you can defeat either Tricephalos or the Darkdrift Knight in Limveld, but many players report no progress from the Darkdrift Knight. To be safe, target Tricephalos and make sure you play as Revenant during the fight for it to count.
Defeating Tricephalos rewards you with the Blade of Night Fragment. Bring it back to the Guardian at Roundtable Hold to complete the quest and earn the Small Makeup Brush relic. This blue relic boosts Revenant’s power when her spirits are summoned and increases Rune acquisition for your team.
Chapter 5: Night’s Corrosion
Once Chapter 1 is done, you can jump straight into Chapter 5. Speak with the Duchess again, then find the Recluse near the map’s western edge. She’ll ask you to reflect on the darkness within, which teleports you to a gloomy corridor leading to a library filled with night-infused Putrid Corpse enemies. These foes scream and explode when they get close, so be cautious.
You start this fight at level five with three Flask of Crimson Tear charges. The key here is to summon Revenant’s spirits and keep moving to avoid damage. If the fight proves tough, grab the Drizzly Scene relic from the Small Jar Bazaar. This Revenant-specific relic adds a ghostflame explosion to your ultimate art, easily clearing nearby Putrid Corpses.
After the battle, examine the Revenant doll and return to Roundtable Hold to speak with the Recluse and finish the quest. You’ll receive the Revenant’s Chalice, a reliquary with blue, green, and free slots for customization.
Chapter 7: The Contaminant
Defeat another Nightlord to get the memory fragment needed to unlock Chapter 7. If it doesn’t drop immediately, keep hunting Nightlords until you get it. When ready, find the Recluse near the cemetery and sit on the bench to start this chapter.
This time, you’re back in Revenant’s old home facing the Contaminant, a fast and aggressive foe similar to a Grafted Scion but with a different color. The Contaminant attacks quickly with hands and body slams, so dodge forward to evade its strikes and avoid getting overwhelmed.
Keep Revenant’s summons active—start with Helena for her evasive moves, then switch to Frederick as the fight progresses. Attack from behind while your summons draw the Contaminant’s attention, allowing you to land critical hits with Revenant’s unique weapon.
After defeating the Contaminant, a cutscene plays, and you return to the bench. Speak with the Recluse to end the Remembrance and earn the Revenant’s Remembrance skin and the Old Portrait Relic, which lets Revenant trigger a ghostflame explosion and heal allies with her ultimate.
