How Mods Work in Mecha Break

Mods are special items that you equip to your Striker to change its attributes. They’re only active in Mashmak mode, so keep that in mind! Each mod will boost one stat, but usually comes with a trade-off, lowering another. For example, you might get reduced energy consumption, but it could cost you more energy to jump. It’s all about balancing strengths and weaknesses to fit your playstyle.

Types of Mods

There are five main mod types:

  • Corixium Cascade Engine
  • Carbotanium Skeleton
  • Propulsion System
  • Corixium Muscle
  • Mindbridge Cockpit

Each mod type matches a specific part of your Striker, and you can equip up to three mods per part. Mods come in four rarities: Fine, Superb, Rare, and Flawless. The higher the tier, the better the potential bonuses, though the exact effects can vary.

How to Get Mods in Mecha Break

There are two main ways to get mods:

  1. Extraction missions (Mashmak/Operation Storm): Jump into the action, fight enemies, and loot Mod Boxes from defeated foes. These boxes usually drop during missions, and you can grab them from enemy wrecks.
  2. Mod Assembly: Combine lower-tier mods to create higher-tier ones using Matrix credits. This is perfect if you want to upgrade without braving another extraction run.

Extraction Missions – The Main Source

During extraction missions, you’ll encounter plenty of enemies. Most of them drop Mod Boxes, so make sure to loot their remains. But here’s the catch: you have to survive and extract using the Extraction Points. Only then do you get to keep everything you picked up. Once you’re out, head to the Inventory tab to open your boxes and see what mods you’ve scored. Each box gives you a random mod matching its tier.

Upgrading Mods via Mod Assembly

If you’ve got a stack of lower-tier mods, you can use the Mod Assembly system. Head to the Mods tab (bottom left of the screen). Here, you can turn 10 mods of one tier plus some Matrix credits into one mod of the next tier. For example, 10 Rare mods make one Flawless mod. It’s a great way to guarantee a higher-tier upgrade, but keep in mind you can’t pick the exact buffs or debuffs.

Quick Tips for Modding Your Striker

  • Experiment! Try different mods to see what works best for your playstyle.
  • Always check your mod effects before heading into Mashmak mode.
  • Don’t forget to extract! If you die, you lose the loot.
  • Upgrade when you can—higher-tier mods make a big difference.

That’s everything you need to know to start collecting and upgrading mods in Mecha Break. Now get out there, customize your mecha, and dominate the battlefield!
