Netflix Finally Brings One Piece’s Game‑Changing Zou Arc — First Episodes Land Oct. 1, 2025

Netflix is adding the Zou Island arc of One Piece to its streaming catalog, with the first batch of new episodes listed for release on Oct. 1, 2025 on Netflix’s One Piece landing page.

Release details and schedule

Netflix lists One Piece as “season 25” with a scheduled date of Oct. 1, 2025 on the show’s landing page. Importantly, the Zou Island arc has been split into three parts on the service.

However, Netflix has not confirmed whether all three parts will drop on that same date. At the time of writing, it’s unclear how many of the arc’s episodes will be available on Oct. 1.

What the Zou arc contains

Zou is a relatively short arc in the One Piece story, and it totals 29 episodes. The arc includes a key flashback that leads to a major story reveal and notable developments for the Straw Hat crew.

Additionally, the arc highlights moments that affect individual crew members, including scenes that are important for Usopp’s character. These events are tied to the broader narrative and the crew’s dynamics.

Netflix additions so far and what’s next

Last year, Netflix added the Marineford Arc, Fishman Island Arc, and Punk Hazard Arc. In 2025 so far, Netflix added the Dressrosa Arc and the filler Silver Mine arc.

Meanwhile, there is no official confirmation yet about when the next major arc after Zou — Whole Cake Island — will appear on the service.

What to expect on Oct. 1

On Oct. 1, Netflix lists One Piece season 25 for release; however, the exact episode count arriving that day has not been confirmed. Therefore, fans should expect at least part of the Zou arc to appear, but the full multipart release remains to be announced.
