How to get Ancient Technology Points in Palworld

Ancient Technology Points are super important if you want to craft advanced gear, weapons, and buildings. Unlike regular skill points, you won’t get these just by leveling up. Instead, you need to beat tough bosses scattered across the map or get lucky with rare drops.

Defeat Tower Bosses

There are seven tower bosses hidden around Palworld. Early on, you’ll face Zoe and Grizzbolt during the tutorial. These fights are no joke – tower bosses have a ton of health and can be really challenging, especially if you’re not prepared. But here’s the reward: defeat a tower boss for the first time and you’ll earn 5 Ancient Technology Points. Remember, you only get points the first time you beat each boss.

Alpha Pal Bosses

All over the map, you’ll spot Alpha Pal bosses, both in the open world and inside dungeons. These bosses are marked on your map with a circular portrait. The difficulty increases as you level up, so don’t expect every fight to be easy. For example, the level 11 Chillet is manageable, but taking on level 50 bosses like Jetragon or Frostallion is a real challenge. Each Alpha Pal boss drops 1 Ancient Technology Point the first time you beat them. If you’re not sure if you’ve already defeated one, just check your map for a check mark over their portrait – that means you got the point!

Bounty NPCs

Looking for more points? Try hunting down NPCs with bounties on their heads. These are shown as circles with purple outlines on your map. They’re usually not as tough as the tower or Alpha Pal bosses, especially if you’re at a high level. Beat them for 1 Ancient Technology Point each – but, as with the other bosses, you only get the reward once per unique NPC.

Treasure Chests and Rare Drops

If you’ve already beaten all the bosses, don’t worry – there’s still a chance to get more points. Look for Ancient Technical Manuals in treasure chests, especially on Wildlife Sanctuary Islands or inside dungeons. These are pretty rare, though, so you’ll need a bit of luck. It’s the only way to get extra points if you’ve already cleared all the bosses and bounties.
