How Pal Equip Unlocks Work in Palworld
To get your hands on new Pal equipment like saddles, weapons, and special gear, you’ll need to unlock recipes through the Technology tab in your menu. Think of it as a big skill tree – every level, starting at level 6, gives you access to new Pal equip options.
But there’s a twist! Some items show up as question marks until you catch or hatch a specific Pal. You can’t just trade for these – you’ve got to earn them by catching or breeding the right Pal yourself. For some tech, like Frostallion Noct, breeding is your only option.
Palworld Pal Equip Technology Unlock List
Here’s a handy breakdown of what you unlock at each level. You’ll notice that at higher levels, there are sometimes up to three unlocks per level. Don’t worry if you see question marks – just keep exploring and catching new Pals!

How to Reveal Hidden Pal Equips
See those pesky question marks in your Technology tab? Here’s the secret: you need to catch or hatch the required Pal yourself. Getting one from a friend won’t work, so get out there and catch ‘em all! Some Pals, like Frostallion Noct, are only available through breeding, so don’t skip the breeding system if you’re after every unlock.
