When and where you can play

The free weekend runs from Aug. 29 to Sept. 1. It is available on PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X. Normally, Path of Exile 2 requires an early access key, but anyone can jump in during the limited free period.

What you’ll get during the weekend

During the event players will have access to all available Path of Exile 2 content. Specifically, the new update arriving on Aug. 29, “The Third Edict,” unlocks the fourth act of the campaign and adds three interludes that are new to the game. Additionally, the update brings significant gameplay changes, including major tuning to Support Gems, new pieces of equipment, and a fresh seasonal mechanic.

Progress and next steps

Grinding Gear Games says that all progress made during the free weekend is saved. Therefore, if you decide to buy an early access key after the event, you can continue from where you left off.
