Secret Lair at MagicCon: Dwight Schrute MTG Cards, Creepy Furby Drops, and a Kieran Tanner Demonic Tutor

Wizards of the Coast’s Secret Lair team used MagicCon Atlanta to reveal a large set of new drops on Sept. 26, 2025. The lineup includes reprints, artist-focused drops, licensed collaborations and some unexpected crossovers — yes, even Furby — plus a new official DanDan deck announcement. Below are the concrete details for each Secret Lair revealed at the panel.

Kieran Tanner — Demonic Tutor and Alpha reprints

Secret Lair revealed a Kieran Tanner drop that includes a new art variant of Demonic Tutor, a sought-after card that currently resells for about $40–$50. In addition, the drop consists entirely of reprints from Alpha. The set will be available on Oct. 13 as part of the Secret Scare suite.

To mark the film’s 50th anniversary, Secret Lair reprinted five cards and designed a new card representing the shark. Mark Rosewater commented that the shark card’s color choice was discussed; however the revealed card is mono-red in this drop.

Secret Lair — DanDan deck

Secret Lair announced an official DanDan deck. DanDan is a two-player variant created by Nick Floyd where both players use the same mono-blue deck built around one creature named DanDan and many instants and sorceries. The Secret Lair DanDan has no release date or price yet.

The original DanDan creator was not involved with this Secret Lair release and, as noted at the panel, apparently wasn’t involved.










Secret Lair — Countdown Kit

The Countdown Kit contains 26 individually wrapped cards, one for each letter of the alphabet. At the panel, two of the cards were shown; the full kit’s release details were not provided in the presentation.
