‘Rite of the Pollip’ quest location in Hollow Knight: Silksong
The quest starts when you talk to Greymoor in Shellwood. Greymoor is inside a cave near the center of Shellwood, southwest of the rightmost bench. Speak with them to receive the task to collect six Pollip Hearts.

Pollip Hearts are hidden in Shellwood and are obtained by breaking purple flowers. In addition, you cannot reliably collect all six until you get the Cling Grip ability, so plan to grab that first.
Cling Grip lets you slide down walls and jump off them, which is necessary for reaching several Pollip locations. To unlock Cling Grip, head to the northwestern area of Shellwood and use pogoing and platforming to climb to the relevant chamber.
Pollip Heart #1
After you unlock Cling Grip, climb to the very top of Shellwood using wall jumps. There is a purple nest that spawns Wood Wasps; break the nest to enter a secret area. Drop down, avoid the thorny ceiling (dashing across helps), and hit the purple flower on the ground to collect the first Pollip Heart.
Pollip Heart #2
From the Cling Grip area, descend the left side while landing on ledges. Watch for floral enemies and use Swift Step or Drifter’s Cloak if needed. The second Pollip Heart sits in a small alcove beneath some purple flowers on the left wall; glide or dash into the opening to reach it.
Pollip Heart #3
From the bottom floor of the Cling Grip chamber, wall climb the rightmost wall and enter the first hallway on your right. This chamber has ceiling vines with white flowers; pogo your way to the ceiling to reach the third purple flower and collect the heart.
Pollip Heart #4
This one is found in the area above Bellhart, just before the Widow boss fight. If you’ve defeated Widow, you may have opened a shortcut back to the Shellwood bench. From that bench, wall climb up to the path leading above Bellhart. Drop down before the thorny floor, break the vines on the left wall, and you’ll find the fourth Pollip Heart.
Pollip Heart #5
From the rightmost bench in Shellwood, drop off the right side and enter the nearby passage. Move right while watching the ceiling for purple flowers. Climb the first climbable wall you find to reach the fifth Pollip Heart.
Pollip Heart #6
From the Shellwood bench, drop off the left edge and take the entrance on the left. Ride the elevator down, then platform to the right side of the room. Jump up to the ceiling where purple flowers line the walls and hit the flower to collect the sixth Pollip Heart.

After collecting all six Pollip Hearts, return to Greymoor and exhaust their dialogue to complete the quest. In return, you receive the Pollip Pouch.
The Pollip Pouch is a tool effect: when equipped, it applies venom to all of your tools. Consequently, enemies hit by your red tools take a couple of damage ticks from the venom effect.
