Sony Announces Sept. 24 State of Play — Extended Look at Housemarque’s Saros plus Updates on Ghost of Yotei, Marathon & Wolverine

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced a new State of Play livestream this Wednesday that will preview its presence at Tokyo Game Show 2025. The short show will bring updates on PlayStation 5 games, and it specifically promises “an extended look at Saros,” the next title from Returnal developer Housemarque.

Show details

The State of Play will stream on Sept. 24. Sony lists the start times as 2 p.m. PDT / 5 p.m. EDT / 11 p.m. CEST. Additionally, the company said the show is expected to run *more than 35 minutes*, according to a post on the PlayStation Blog.

What to expect

Sony says it will “share new looks at anticipated third-party and indie titles, plus updates from some of our teams at PlayStation Studios.” In concrete terms, the showcase will include an extended look at Saros from Housemarque.

Lineup and timing

The company named a few specific games that are part of the announced lineup. For example, Sucker Punch Productions’ Ghost of Yotei is due very soon, on Oct. 2. Other listed titles include Bungie’s Marathon and Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Wolverine.
