Spooky Season Arrives: Alan Wake 2, Cocoon and Goat Simulator 3 Drop on PlayStation Plus Oct. 7
Sony revealed the PlayStation Plus games for October 2025 during Wednesday’s State of Play: Alan Wake 2, Cocoon, and Goat Simulator 3 will be available to PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers on Oct. 7.

PlayStation Plus October 2025 lineup
On Oct. 7, all PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers will get access to three titles. Namely, the lineup includes Alan Wake 2, the 2023 horror follow-up from Remedy; Cocoon, Annapurna’s 2023 puzzler; and Goat Simulator 3, the chaotic comedy sequel.
These games join the monthly Essential drops that are available to all subscribers, and they arrive just in time for spooky season — particularly relevant for Alan Wake 2.

About the games
Alan Wake 2
Alan Wake 2 was a Game of the Year nominee in 2023. It continues the story from the 2010 original and introduces FBI Special Agent Saga Anderson as a playable character. Additionally, the game is part of Remedy Entertainment’s shared universe, which the game’s DLC further explored.
Cocoon
Cocoon is a 2023 puzzle game from Annapurna. It features nested, Matryoshka-style worlds where puzzles change across layers, and it received praise for its design and structure. The title has also been available on Game Pass.
Goat Simulator 3
Goat Simulator 3 is a comedic party game that leans into absurdity. Players control a mischievous goat and cause chaos across open, interactive levels.
PlayStation Plus tiers and pricing
PlayStation Plus comes in three tiers. Essential is the entry level and includes online multiplayer access, a monthly selection of free PS4 and PS5 games, cloud save storage, and store discounts.
Pricing for PlayStation Plus Essential is: $79.99 annually, $24.99 for three months, or $9.99 monthly.
Extra and Premium updates
Separately, Sony announced that The Last of Us Part II Remastered will join the Extra and Premium game catalog on Sept. 26, coinciding with The Last of Us Day. This update is for Extra and Premium members only.
In addition, the Premium classics catalog will add Tekken 3, Soul Calibur 3, and Tomb Raider Anniversary later this year.
